Schreiber (sbs) I've frequently compared Manoel Macía to Anthony Phillips, because his albums "Jardín" and "La noche escalonada" arouse most pleasant memories of the "Private Parts & Pieces" series in me. On this 2018 re-recording of an old 2001 release, this honorable spirit lives on as well, including a great deal of complementary spice due to the heavier use of electric guitar, synth, and drums. As usual, Manoel Macías compositions are crafted masterfully, and are plenty of wonderful melodies and chord progressions, which always tend to wander into unexpected directions. Favorite track: Hilo.

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. I found this on Richard Pelavin's Bandcamp choices. The sound of this amazing band is like a Canterbury/Progressive band of the highest order. I hear a bit of Happy the Man, King Crimson, and other tremendous Prog bands. I would highly recommend this group!! David Freshman

This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all. After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass. PartTimeZombie
