Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) I've frequently compared Manoel Macía to Anthony Phillips, because his albums "Jardín" and "La noche escalonada" arouse most pleasant memories of the "Private Parts & Pieces" series in me. On this 2018 re-recording of an old 2001 release, this honorable spirit lives on as well, including a great deal of complementary spice due to the heavier use of electric guitar, synth, and drums. As usual, Manoel Macías compositions are crafted masterfully, and are plenty of wonderful melodies and chord progressions, which always tend to wander into unexpected directions. Favorite track: Hilo.

about

Nueva versión de la maqueta original del año 2001, ampliada y con nuevos arreglos; manteniendo la ingenuidad y experimentación inicial.

Original release in 2001, this is a new recording based on that demo. New arrangements keeping its first naive intention and experimentation.
